In order to be considered for the Abertay University Scholarships for International Students, applicants must meet the following criteria:

- English Proficiency: Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency at the level required by the University.
- Eligible Countries: The scholarships are available to students from all countries worldwide.
- Full-time Enrollment: Applicants must be enrolled as full-time students at Abertay University for their first postgraduate degree. Those who already hold a postgraduate degree from the UK are not eligible.
- International Fee Status: Applicants must be classified as international (overseas) students by Abertay University.
- Academic Requirements: Applicants must have met all academic conditions outlined in their offer of admission for full-time enrollment in either September 2024 or January 2025.
- Bachelor’s Degree: Applicants must have achieved the equivalent of a 2:1 UK Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Please be aware that current postgraduate students and Abertay alumni are not eligible for this scholarship.

How do I apply for a scholarship at Abertay University?
To be considered for Abertay University Scholarships for International Students, please follow the application guidelines outlined below:
- Choose a master’s or PhD program from the list on our website.
- Complete the application process for your selected program by registering for a new account, selecting ‘new user’, providing all necessary information, uploading required documents, and submitting the application.
- If you meet all eligibility criteria and are awarded an Abertay International Scholarship, you will receive an email notification upon receiving your offer of admission, no later than July 1st. Applications submitted after this date will be considered in the second round of scholarship allocations, by August 24th.
